In a short webinar on October 7, 2019, Andrea Hofmann, project manager of the IT Logistics Cluster, provided an overview of the current open call for the EU-funded Blockchain Innovation Spaces (Block.IS) project.
The vision of the Block.IS project is to establish an open, cross-border, and cross-sector innovation ecosystem that promotes the use of blockchain technology in the agriculture and food, logistics, and finance sectors, which are important for the European economy.
An open call/call for proposals is currently underway as part of the project. SMEs and start-ups that want to develop blockchain-based products, processes, and business models with high market potential in the above-mentioned sectors are eligible for funding. Companies can receive up to €60,000 in funding as part of the project.
The webinar gave interested companies an overview of the open call process and the funding opportunities available within the Block. IS project. The accompanying presentation for the webinar can be found HERE.
Interested companies have until November 6, 2019, to apply at https://blockis.eu/apply-now/start-ups-smes.
