The new working group “Embedded AI in Production” kicked off with a webinar on November 11, 2025. The aim of the first meeting was to provide a joint introduction to the topic and identify initial focal points for future collaboration.
The focus was on a keynote speech by Maximilian Deichsel (Infineon AG) on the topic of “Data Acquisition to Target Deployment and Making Use of Data – How to Deal with the Fast-Growing System Landscape.”
He showed how companies can meet the ever-growing demands of data management and system integration. Particular emphasis was placed on how data can be used efficiently from collection to productive use in AI-based applications. This is an aspect that is becoming increasingly important in many production environments.
Afterwards, there was an opportunity for questions. The presentation served as a technical basis for further exchange within the working group.

The event was part of the German government's transformation networks (funding body: Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, BMWE). The Regensburg-based project transform.r supports companies in coping with structural change in the automotive industry.
