Working group | Embedded AI in production

Background

Industrial production is increasingly becoming a data-driven environment. Embedded AI enables data to be processed and analyzed directly in machines and systems, without having to go through central servers. This creates new potential for efficiency gains, quality assurance, and real-time capabilities. At the same time, challenges relating to computing capacity, integration, standards, and security need to be overcome.

Goals of the Working Group

  • Exchange of information on technologies, applications, and challenges relating to embedded AI
  • Identification of relevant use cases and best practices from industrial practice
  • Promotion of cooperation and joint project initiation
  • Discussion of standards, interfaces, and framework conditions

Subject areas

  • Sensors and data availability in production
  • AI models for edge and embedded systems
  • Predictive maintenance, quality control, energy optimization
  • Security, data quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Integration into existing systems and production environments

Organization

The working group meets up to four times a year (virtual meetings & face-to-face workshops). The meetings serve to exchange experiences, gather ideas, and develop projects.

Don't miss out! Working group dates
