QuantenImpuls Regensburg | Background

Quantum computing brings together physics, computer science, and engineering, opening up entirely new possibilities in optimization, simulation, and security. While many applications are still in the development phase, now is the right time to prepare companies specifically for their implementation.
QuantenImpuls Regensburg aims to act as a catalyst: We demonstrate in a practical way where quantum computing can already be used today and what strategic opportunities will arise in the coming years. The goal is to empower companies early on to take their first steps in this future-oriented field—realistically, practically, and with a focus on concrete application areas.
Optional: Policy makers and funding programs at the state, federal, and EU levels are also increasingly focusing strategically on quantum computing. Engaging with the technology early on brings competitive advantages, helps avoid bottlenecks, and lays the foundation for future value creation.

Mission

The working group supports companies, research institutions, and public sector entities in the region in building knowledge, expertise, and networks in the field of quantum computing.
The focus is on practical exchanges regarding technologies, application areas, and trends, as well as the joint development of realistic use cases.
The goal is to provide companies with insights on how to strategically position quantum computing, take meaningful steps today, and prepare for future opportunities.
The working group promotes collaboration within the network, thereby paving the way for joint projects.

Goals & Benefits | of the Working Group

Goal of the working group

The QuantenImpuls Regensburg working group aims to raise awareness of quantum technologies among companies, research institutions, and public sector stakeholders in the region and to facilitate networking among them.

The focus is on creating initial, tangible access to these technologies:

  • Providing an overview of available technologies
  • Highlighting their potential and limitations
  • Identifying practical applications
  • Initiating collaborations and promoting knowledge transfer

Why participate?

By participating in QuantenImpuls Regensburg, companies, research institutions, and other partners gain access to an active network of experts and innovators.
Members benefit from direct dialogue on trends and technologies, practical insights into realistic application areas, and early information on funding programs.

The working group offers a platform for jointly developing ideas, finding suitable cooperation partners, and thus strategically preparing for entry into quantum technologies in a targeted manner.
