Digitalization, yes please—but how can it be achieved? Many companies are facing this challenge. In the DInO webinar “Digital Coffee Break | Our company wants to become more digital: what support is available?” on November 12, 2025, the Cluster Mobility & Logistics presented practical approaches.
For small Bavarian companies, the popular Digitalbonus.Bayern, which promotes digitization and IT security measures – from the implementation of an efficient digital HR system to the use of robotics, AI, and modern simulation methods – is at the forefront. In addition to the KfW's ERP subsidy loan for digitization, the Qualification Opportunities Act was also mentioned as an indirect digitization subsidy. This enables financial subsidies for further training for employees, for example in the field of digitalization and AI. The EU AI Acts obliges companies to train employees who work with AI. The importance of further training subsidies should therefore not be underestimated.
Companies and institutions can receive support without direct financing, for example through the project DInO, when it comes to IT security, paperless offices, or other digital technologies. Other projects such as the Zukunftszentrum Süd (Future Center South) and the Mittelstand-Digital Zentren (SME Digital Centers) are also proving to be valuable contacts in this regard.
