On October 8, 2026, the Cluster Mobility & Logistics participated in the “Haltestelle Zukunft” event series at the Fischmarkt in Regensburg with its R_Lab Mobilität project. This dialogue format, organized by the Kreativbehörde of the Stadt Regensburg , offers residents the opportunity to discuss current issues and the future of the city in a relaxed atmosphere.
As part of the “Kaffee & Kuchen” event, Anne Häner, project manager in the Cluster Mobility & Logistics Cluster, was available to talk with residents. The focus was on R_Lab Mobilität—the real-world laboratory for urban mobility in Regensburg—and its diverse application projects. The real-world laboratory makes it possible to test innovative technologies and smart city solutions under real-world conditions, thereby actively shaping the mobility of the future.
A particular highlight was the Regensburg AI Driver’s License, which was developed as part of the R_Lab Mobility initiative. This free, digital learning program teaches the basics of artificial intelligence in a fun and practical way and highlights its potential applications in everyday life. The goal is to reduce reservations about the technology and strengthen digital literacy among the general public.
Participation in the “Haltestelle Zukunft” event underscored the importance of direct dialogue with the urban community in order to make future technologies understandable and accessible, as well as to provide impetus for the development of a smart and sustainable city.
