Event: AI in Mobility – INDIGO Network

On December 8, the event “AI in Mobility,” organized by the INDIGO Network—the Internet and Digitalization Network of Eastern Bavaria—took place at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences. Roxane Wagner, project manager of the Mobility & Logistics Cluster, attended the event, as the cluster supported it as a cooperation partner.

The network brings together the six universities in Eastern Bavaria—OTH Amberg-Weiden, TH Deggendorf, Landshut, the University of Passau, the University of Regensburg, and OTH Regensburg—and combines their scientific expertise in the field of the Internet and digitalization.

The companies Bertrandt, Continental, DB Regio, and ZF Mobility Solutions provided insights into current real-world examples. These real-world examples demonstrated how AI can—and is already—sustainably improving not only individual mobility but also public mobility of the future.

Representatives from companies, the city, and research institutions concluded the event with a lively discussion on how best to integrate AI into the planning of future mobility.
