Graduation—and then what? Between seminar sessions, countless hours in the university library, required internships, and part-time student jobs, the question of potential employers keeps coming up. This makes it all the more important to start looking for your ideal future positions while you’re still in school.
On Tuesday, May 31, the “Karriere-Kontakte 2022” career fair took place on the University of Regensburg campus. With coffee, ice cream, and sweet snacks on hand, it was the perfect opportunity to network and plan careers. Among a total of 60 companies, we at TechBase were also there with our booth representing the DGO and the Mobility & Logistics Cluster, actively supporting students in their career planning. In addition to casual conversations about digitalization, sustainability, e-mobility, and environmental protection, the main focus was on startup support and all the challenges it entails. An initial important exchange of information on this topic took place primarily with students and graduates from the fields of natural sciences, social sciences, business informatics, and mathematics.
The career fair turned out to be a successful event filled with exciting conversations. The focus wasn’t just on the subject-specific knowledge and skills of potential candidates—whom we were able to recruit for specific job openings within the TechBase community. We were truly impressed by their personal stories, their energetic pursuit of success, and the unique paths they’ve taken to land their dream jobs!
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire Marketing & Career Service team at the University of Regensburg for making our participation possible and for the in-depth exchange of experiences. We’d also like to say a big thank you to the exhibitors at our booth: Daniela Maier, DGO; Manfred Binder; Sarah Schilly; and Maximilian Giehrl, Cluster Mobility & Logistics.
