System Logistics GmbH has a new managing director, and he comes from within the company. As of November 1, 2026, Ralf John has taken over the leadership of the company.
Bernhard Reitberger, who previously led the company, is moving to the management team of the international System Logistics Group as Chief Technology Officer. This move has been planned for a long time and carefully prepared. For customers, suppliers, and partners, continuity, reliability, and the same trusted points of contact remain assured.
The transition comes at a time when System Logistics is undergoing significant changes. What began in 2002 as the intralogistics division of Krones is now an international group with approximately 1,110 employees and over 500 completed installations worldwide.
Wackersdorf, home to what is now System Logistics GmbH since 2014, is one of the Group’s three technology centers and employs approximately 125 experts.
With Bernhard Reitberger, the Group’s leadership will now include someone who knows the German-speaking region and its customers inside and out. This will bring the site and the Group closer together than ever before. Ralf John knows the company from the inside. Together with Bernhard Reitberger, he helped shape the development of what is now System Logistics GmbH from the very beginning and, as technical director, played a key role in its technological and operational growth. In total, he brings nearly 30 years of experience in intralogistics and automation. He understands the technology, knows how projects operate on a day-to-day basis, and has held international leadership roles. “I’m very much looking forward to this role and to the responsibility of shaping the future development of System Logistics GmbH together with our team,” says Ralf John. “A lot is happening in Wackersdorf, and we have a group behind us that wants to continue growing. Our customers invest in systems that need to run for decades. They can count on us to think ahead and keep our word. And we still have a lot planned.”
As CTO, Bernhard Reitberger will be responsible for the future development of the Group’s technology and product platforms and will promote international collaboration within System Logistics.

In my new role, I will ensure that our customers benefit even more directly from everything the Group has to offer.”
With this new division of responsibilities, System Logistics is strengthening both the local accountability of the GmbH and international collaboration within the Group. on further growth.
