Pay close attention to the political context of a funding guideline, involve stakeholders appropriately, and never deviate from the format requirements—these and many other tips were shared by speaker Susanne Deisböck (Leyton Deutschland GmbH) during the webinar “Funding in a Nutshell: Writing Grant Applications—How-To, Dos & Don’ts” on November 20, 2025. Deisböck has many years of experience advising companies on grant applications and therefore knows all too well which factors often cause grant applications to fail. This involves much more than the linguistic and structural composition of an application: factors such as the appropriate choice of research topic and consortium are essential.
The goal of the webinar was to provide companies at various levels of experience with practical tips for their next grant application.
