How do French clusters support their local automotive industry? How are other European clusters financed? And how can clusters successfully apply for EU funding for new projects in the automotive sector? We discussed these and many other questions at the invitation of the French cluster NextMove in Paris as part of a so-called cluster mission from November 7 to 9.
In addition to presentations, discussion rounds, and networking, the program also included excursions to companies and research institutions in Paris. This multi-day exchange of knowledge and experience between European clusters in France was the first of three cluster missions in the REMOBILISE project. Further missions will take place in Portugal and Hungary next year.
“Learning from each other” is the central goal of the REMOBILISE project, which stands for “REgrouping MOBILIty clusters to develop Skills and Exchange.” This enables mobility clusters across Europe to strengthen their competencies while establishing contacts in other European cities. The EU is financing the project through the COSME program. REMOBILISE started in February 2022 and will run until January 2024.
