On June 23, 2026, Anne Häner and Steve Schumann, project managers at the Cluster Mobility & Logistics, represented TechBase Regensburg at the networking event “Shaping the Future in Europe Together and in a Networked Way – Interreg B & C: Impulses from the Bavarian-Czech Border Region.” The event took place at TechBase Regensburg.
Following the opening remarks, including those by Raimund Kneidinger, District Administrator of the Passau District and Vice Chair of the Danube-Moldau Euro-Region, as well as by Pavel Lukeš from the Czech Ministry of Regional Development, the National Contact Points Berit Edlich (Central Europe) and Mirjam Zillober (Danube Region) provided an overview of the current programs.
In the subsequent pitch session, Drive2Transform was presented as one of the selected projects, introduced by Steve Schumann together with Filip Uhlík, Director of the Regional Development Agency Pilsen, as a German-Czech partnership. Highlights from the project’s work were showcased: the Transformation Readiness Index, the transnational conference, the workshop series, and the jointly initiated Policy Forum.
In addition, many other exciting projects were presented:
- VReduMED – Virtual Reality in the Education and Training of Nursing and Healthcare Professionals
- Danube Indeet – Integrated, Decentralized Energy and Transportation Systems Based on Renewable Energy
- DigiCare4CE – Digital Transformation of Long-Term Care Facilities
- REliHE – Sustainable Reuse of Religious and Cultural Heritage in Rural Areas
- DANUBE Wood(s) ROUTE – a transnational cultural route centered on forests and wood-related cultural heritage
The range of topics, from industrial and automotive transformation to health and energy, and on to cultural heritage and tourism, was impressive, as was the cross-sectoral exchange facilitated by the networking format.
During the networking session, Anne Häner had the opportunity to present TechBase Regensburg. We were able to meet many new contacts from Germany and the Czech Republic and further expand our network.
An all-around successful event, our thanks go to EUregio for the invitation.
