On July 28, 2026, a workshop was held at TechBase Regensburg as part of the R_Lab Mobility application project BAIKOR_R, attended by representatives from the City of Regensburg and its municipal subsidiaries. Led by the Mobility & Logistics Cluster and Synnotech AG, the workshop focused on how existing construction site information can be better integrated in the future and made usable for various technical tasks.
Together, they discussed the requirements for a prototype demonstrator designed to consolidate existing data sources via the R_Lab Mobilität Mobility Data Hub. The goal is to gain experience in establishing a shared data space and to support collaboration among the participating organizations.
The results of the workshop will serve as the basis for the next steps in the BAIKOR_R project.
The BAIKOR_R application project is one of the pilot projects of R_Lab Mobilität, the real-world laboratory for urban mobility in Regensburg. As part of the real-world laboratory, innovative smart city applications are developed and tested under real-world conditions, and insights are gained for building a sustainable digital infrastructure. The experience gained through the project is intended to help further strengthen cooperation between the administration, municipal companies, and other partners.
