"Cluster on Site” at Rohde & Schwarz in Teisnach

On October 16, 2025, the Cluster Mobility & Logistics invited guests to the Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG plant in Teisnach as part of the transform.r project's “Cluster vor Ort” (Cluster on Site) event series. Around 2,000 employees work at this important company location, which serves as a system supplier and competence center for mechanical and electronic manufacturing within the group.

Participants were given exclusive factory tours that provided detailed insights into the site's central manufacturing areas. The focus was on printed circuit board production, highly specialized clean room assembly, flexible small series production, and innovative solutions in the field of security technology. The practical insights into the production and assembly processes impressively demonstrated the technological capabilities and process diversity of the plant.

In Teisnach, Rohde & Schwarz presented itself not only as a major manufacturer of broadcast transmitters, security scanners and customized radio communication systems, but also as an international service partner for the maintenance and support of these systems. The comprehensive range of manufacturing services rounds off the site's profile.

Following the tour, guests had the opportunity to talk personally with specialists and representatives of the company. The networking in an open atmosphere was actively used to establish new contacts and deepen existing collaborations.

The event offered participants a valuable opportunity to experience cutting-edge technologies and manufacturing processes up close and to exchange ideas about innovation potential in the mobility and logistics industry.

Note

The event was part of the German government's transformation networks (funding body: Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, BMWE). The Regensburg-based transform.r project supports companies in coping with structural change in the automotive industry.
