As part of the RECIPROCITY project, the Cluster Mobility & Logistics hosted a RECIPROCITY webinar on September 15, 2022 on the topic “Helsinki-Uusimaa Mobility Innovation Ecosystem”. Participants were given an insight into the Helsinki-Uusimaa Mobility Innovation Ecosystem.
The creation of new smart mobility solutions has been simplified in Helsinki and Finland. The government and the cities of the capital region are determined to further promote the smart mobility of the future. Legislation is favorable for new experiments, and the recent strong deregulation facilitates the market entry of new forms of transportation services.
The Helsinki-Uusimaa region has urban test fields where mobility solutions can be tested and scaled up in a real environment. Helsinki is also home to the world's first open ecosystem for Mobility-as-a-Service. From world-class R&D capabilities, product development opportunities, unique pilot platforms, global expansion, university and research collaborations, funding, talent and partners - the Helsinki-Uusimaa region has a vibrant ecosystem for smart mobility!
In addition to expert presentations and pitches, the participants were able to exchange ideas in the lively final discussion.
