Webinar: Subsidies at a glance

What exactly is Horizon Europe? What does it mean to apply for and carry out a project here? And which calls for proposals in the fields of AI, robotics, transport, etc. are currently open with a deadline in October 2025?

These questions were answered on June 25, 2025, in a webinar with speaker Dan Gutu from the associated partner of the DInO project, the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR). As the EU research funding center of the Bavarian state, the Bavarian Research Alliance provides free support to Bavarian stakeholders from science, business (SMEs), and local authorities in obtaining EU funding for research and innovation projects and in networking at the European level. The focus of the advisory support is on the European framework program for research and innovation “Horizon Europe.”

Dan Gutu is a scientific advisor in the ICT, Natural Sciences, and Engineering (MINT) team and is responsible for topics in the field of information and communication technologies, in particular artificial intelligence and robotics, as well as space and aviation.

Background: Funding Compact is a series of webinars organized by the DInO – Digital Innovation East Bavaria project. DInO is one of three European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) in Bavaria. The focus is on digital transformation in SMEs and public administrations. As part of DInO, the Cluster Mobility & Logistics provides funding advice and international matchmaking.

The webinar “Funding Compact: How to Secure Financing – A Founder's Practical Report” was co-organized by DInO partner THD StartUp Campus.
