On July 25, 2022, the Mobility & Logistics Cluster invited a delegation from the Pilsen region to TechBase for cluster twinning. The aim of the meeting was to exchange experiences in cluster development and operation.
To this end, the Cluster Mobility & Logistics first presented its own cluster services, structure, success stories, and activities in the areas of networking, funding scouting, and international cooperation. Particularly noteworthy here is the ClusterXchange pilot program to support transnational short-term exchanges—similar to ERASMUS for industry—in order to better connect Europe's industrial ecosystems. Financial support for this can be obtained through the EU project REMOBILISE. Andrea Wöhrl, Cross Innovation Manager for the City of Regensburg, concluded the presentation of the Regensburg cluster ecosystem.
After a joint lunch, Alexander Rupprecht, Managing Director of R-Tech GmbH, gave a tour of the TechBase. The rest of the afternoon was spent introducing the Pilsen participants (Regional Development Agency in the Pilsen Region, Klastr MECHATRONIKA, z.s., Czech Technical University in Prague, Plzeňský kraj), discussing similarities and differences in cluster structure and policy, and talking about potential joint projects.
To explore the topics already raised in greater depth, a visit to Pilsen is planned for the fall.
