As part of the EU project Block.IS, the Cluster Mobility & Logistics welcomed both national and international participants to TechBase.
A two-day workshop on blockchain provided insights into the local Regensburg innovation ecosystem on the first day, with participants being given a tour of TechBase. This was followed by a guided tour of the city, which focused on Regensburg's history.
The second day looked at the blockchain cluster ecosystem at the European level, with Dr. Michael Gebert, CEO of the European Blockchain Association, participating as keynote speaker. Dr. Maximilian Austerjost from Fraunhofer IML also highlighted how blockchain can promote sustainability in logistics. Benedikt Putz from the University of Regensburg kicked off the afternoon session with a deep dive into the topic of blockchain. The workshop ended with a pitching session in which the individual companies were presented.
