Many companies face this challenge. In the DInO webinar “Digital Coffee Break | We want our company to become more digital: what funding options are available?” on November 12, 2025, the Cluster Mobility & Logistics presented practical approaches.
For small Bavarian companies, the popular Digitalbonus.Bayern is at the forefront, supporting measures related to digitalization and IT security—from the implementation of an efficient digital HR system to the use of robotics, AI, and modern simulation methods. In addition to the KfW’s ERP-promotional loan for digitalization , the Qualification Opportunities Act was also mentioned as an indirect form of digitalization support. This provides financial grants for employee training, for example in the areas of digitalization and AI. The EU AI Act requires companies to train employees who work with AI. Accordingly, the importance of funding for continuing education should not be underestimated.
Companies and institutions can receive support without direct funding, for example through the project DInO, when it comes to IT security, paperless offices, or other digital technologies. Other projects such as the Zukunftszentrum Süd and the Mittelstand-Digital Centers also serve as valuable points of contact in this regard.
